STUDENT LEADERSHIP GROUP
"By your side"
The by-your-side program is a way for parents to assist our student leadership group initiatives.
The THS Student Leadership Group (THS-SLG) is a key part of the THS community; they work on many student driven initiatives, which in themselves have an educational value and resulting impact on the THS environment and the community at large (via charities).
We assist their initiatives by directly funding or matching the funds they raise.
THE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATORS & LEADERSHIP GROUP
"Together"
As we work together to educate the younger members of our community (typically our children) it is important that we support the professional learning support team with their innovations in learning.
The together program is a way for the professional learning support team to reach out to parents (via the P&C) for assistance; in the form of funding or perhaps parent expertise.
These programs run in parallel with the "improve-a-space" program for environment (built/natural/technology) based initiatives.

Turramurra High School is currently transforming everything that relates to the how our children learn - as parents the more we know, the more we can support the experts on this journey.
Transforming from academic excellence to ethical competence (as a part of human agency), using the 4Cs [collaboration, creativity, communication & critical reflection/thinking] as the base framework.
In the future (now) it will be the human ethical decisions that will define our society and not the academic decisions, as those decisions become more and more AI based.

Most Likely to Succeed Film
To aid with transformative learning initiatives at THS, we have purchased the Most Likely To Succeed film using the THS P&C together fund.
"Most Likely To Succeed is a thought-provoking documentary feature film that reveals the growing shortcomings of conventional education methods in today's innovative world. The film explores compelling new approaches that aim to revolutionize education as we know it, inspiring school communities to reimagine what students and teachers are capable of doing. To date, MLTS has screened for thousands of audiences around the world, igniting conversations and empowering change along the way. Share the film with your community to activate change now.

Resources for @home learning facilitation
as we, as parents, work together with the professional learning facilitators at the THS Learning CommunityHSC Exam Assistance
We assist students that have been granted assistance provisions based what the eduction department considers a disability during their formal exams.
Most commonly this is assistance with reading.
